Basketball Recap: Make It Five in a Row for Neptune

Neptune came tearing into Tuesday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They enjoyed a cozy 44-29 win over the Lacey Township Lions. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 63-45 last Thursday.

Neptune's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lana Ellington, who posted 11 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Tyeera Howard, who earned six points in addition to seven boards and five steals.

Neptune now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Lacey Township, they now have a losing record at 6-7.

Coming up, Neptune will look to defend their home court on February 20th against Shore Regional at 5:15 p.m. As for Lacey Township, they will head out on the road to face off against Lakewood at 4:00 p.m. on February 18th.
