Manchester entered their tilt with Eastern on Wednesday with six consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with seven. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Eagles a 12-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Greyhounds, who have now won ten contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Manchester pushed their record up to 13-4 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Eastern, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-15.
