Baseball Recap: J.P. McCaskey Red Tornado vs. Penn Manor Comets
J.P. McCaskey had lost nine straight on the road, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 1-15 to make it ten. They lost 11-1 to the Penn Manor Comets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Comets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-4 on April 8th.
As for Penn Manor, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-7. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games.
For Penn Manor's part, Ben Patterson looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Patterson has become a key player for the Comets: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 5-6 otherwise.
