Basketball Recap: Cony Beats Nokomis for Their Eighth Straight Win

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cony). They claimed a resounding 68-31 win over the Nokomis Warriors. Given the Rams' advantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked fourth, while the Warriors are ranked 81st), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory (which was Cony's eighth in a row) raised their record to 9-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for Nokomis, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.
