Softball Recap: Warner Wins Going Away Against Calipatria

Warner made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Calipatria, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Warner put the hurt on Calipatria with a sharp 15-6 victory on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won three games by nine runs or more so far this season.

Warner is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.5 runs over those games. Calipatria is on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Warner will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Hoover at 4:00 p.m. on April 9. As for Calipatria, they will face off against Holtville at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
