Baseball Game Preview: Logansport Berries vs. Tipton Blue Devils

For the second straight game, Logansport will face off against Tipton. The Berries will head out on the road to face off against the Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Logansport will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Logansport had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the nine-run drubbing they dealt Tipton on Tuesday. The Berries put the hurt on the Blue Devils with a sharp 11-2 victory.

Logansport got a great performance from Josh Middleton as he pitched five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits.

On the hitting side, Kuper Jones was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Taylor Albright was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Logansport was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tipton only posted a batting average of .167.

Logansport's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Tipton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.
