Basketball Recap: Glen Allen Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Glen Allen had to skate by with only a two-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 25-point drubbing they dealt J.R. Tucker on Tuesday. The Glen Allen Jaguars put the hurt on the J.R. Tucker Tigers with a sharp 68-43 win. The Jaguars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 20 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Glen Allen to victory, but perhaps none more so than Faron Friend, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 12 rebounds. Friend's evening made it nine games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Chase James, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 15 boards.

The victory (which was Glen Allen's third in a row) raised their record to 10-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.3 points per game. As for J.R. Tucker, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-2.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Glen Allen Jaguars duke it out with the Deep Run Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for J.R. Tucker, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Maggie Walker at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
