Basketball Recap: Thunder Basin Comes Up Short in High-Profile Match with Green River

On Saturday, Thunder Basin faced Green River in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Thunder Basin Bolts fell just short of the Green River Wolves by a score of 51-48. The Bolts were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolves apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Despite the loss, Thunder Basin had strong showings from Allie Rodgers, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds, and Ashtyn Ketchum, who went 6 of 15 en route to 14 points and six boards. Ketchum has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Jayde Stremcha, who posted 11 points.

Even though they lost, Thunder Basin smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
