            Baseball Recap: Surry Central Golden Eagles vs. West Lincoln Rebels        
        
		
        
        
            It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Surry Central can now relate to. They fell just short of the West Lincoln Rebels by a score of  6-4 on Tuesday. The Golden Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Surry Central got a good showing from  Dru Gaddy, who   pitched one inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. What's more,  Gaddy gave up only zero  walks, the fewest he's  had since back in April of 2024.
 On the hitting side, Surry Central saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Will Pardue, who  went 3-for-4 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  RBI.
Surry Central's loss dropped their record down to 16-8. As for West Lincoln, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-11 record  this season.
 Surry Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for West Lincoln, they will challenge East Rutherford on Friday. The Cavaliers will roll in looking for their  24th straight  win, something the Rebels surely won't give up without a fight.
