It was a proper cat-fight when Newberry faced off against Trenton on Saturday. The Panthers walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Tigers. The win was nothing new for the Panthers as they're now sitting on three straight.

Carly Myers paced Newberry's offense, picking up eight kills. Myers got some help from Kinsley Harvey and her 16 assists. Harvey also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Raigan Wockenfuss, racking up two apiece.

Newberry's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Trenton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

Newberry has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Crescent City on the 6th. As for Trenton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Bell on the 6th.
