Football Recap: Andrew Jackson Gets the Win

Andrew Jackson proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 51) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Ribault Trojans 14-12. This was payback for the Tigers, who suffered an 18-16 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Jamarian Dixon was the offensive standout of the match as he rushed for 38 yards and two TDs. That's the most rushing touchdowns he has posted since back in August of 2024.

Another reason for the win was Andrew Jackson's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. Aidan Bell was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself. Marshaun Parker was another major factor on D, making six total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defending two passes in addition to snagging an interception.

Andrew Jackson's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Ribault, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Coming up, Andrew Jackson will be playing in front of their home fans against University Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Ribault, they will venture away from home to take on Camden County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
