Meanwhile, Princeville fell victim to Deer Creek-Mackinaw and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Chiefs, falling 15-0. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Annawan-Wethersfield's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-15. As for Princeville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 15 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-19 record this season.

Annawan-Wethersfield was able to grind out a solid win over Princeville in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, winning 5-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Titans since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
