Cloverdale proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 12) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Fort Bragg Timberwolves 2-1. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Timberwolves recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Camryn Bird was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Bird was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

In other pitching news, Cloverdale got a great performance from Charlotte Burchett as she struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Burchett has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.
