Baseball Game Preview: FAMU DRS Baby Rattlers vs. Godby Cougars

FAMU DRS is 0-8-1 against Godby since February of 2018 but things could change on Tuesday. The FAMU DRS Baby Rattlers will head out to square off against the Godby Cougars at 6:00 p.m. FAMU DRS will be strutting in after a victory while Godby will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Tuesday, FAMU DRS got the win against Crossroad Academy by a conclusive 19-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Baby Rattlers.

Ayden Cromer made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and only one walk). Cromer was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing four bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

In other batting news, FAMU DRS got a massive performance out of Isaiah Butler, who scored three runs and stole four bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Kayden Randolph, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3.

Meanwhile, Godby was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 13-2 to Florida State University High School.

Godby's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for FAMU DRS, their record now sits at 2-0-1.
