Basketball Recap: Akins Takes a Loss

Akins was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They were dealt a 66-31 loss at the hands of the Bowie Bulldogs. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 64-26 on January 3rd.

Akins' defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Bowie, they pushed their record up to 23-9 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Akins has already played their next match (against Lake Travis), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Bowie will be playing in front of their home fans against Austin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Austin is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.8 points per game this season.
