Volleyball Recap: Cooter Extends Winning Streak to Three

Cooter entered their tilt with Southland on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Rebels 3-0. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Cooter walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). The final score came out to 25-22, 25-15, 25-22.

Their offense was headlined by Payton Forsythe and Olivia Richardson, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Lily Hubbard and her ten assists. Caroline Sullivan controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Cooter's victory bumped their record up to 4-12. As for Southland, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.

Coming up, Cooter will take on Caruthersville at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Southland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
