Football Recap: Tellico Plains Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Tellico Plains was the 22-14 winner over Eagleton College & Career Academy when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bears came up short against the Royals on Friday, falling 33-7. The matchup marked the Bears' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Ike Hollinghead threw for 27 yards and one touchdown.

Tellico Plains dropped their record down to 3-3 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Eagleton College & Career Academy, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tellico Plains will venture away from home to square off against Harriman at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bears will be up against the Blue Devils' rather soft defense (which has allowed 43.5 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Eagleton College & Career Academy, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Polk County at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th.
