Basketball Recap: English Valleys Comes Up Short

English Valleys was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 77-53 to the Iowa Valley Tigers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 74-52 back in December of 2024.

English Valleys' loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Iowa Valley, their win bumped their record up to 9-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. English Valleys will venture away from home to face off against Belle Plaine at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. English Valleys is facing Belle Plaine at the right time seeing as Belle Plaine is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Iowa Valley, they will challenge Keota at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Keota knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matches -- so hopefully Iowa Valley likes a good challenge.
