Football Recap: Lakes Comes Up Short

After flying high against Grayslake North last Friday, Lakes came back down to earth. The matchup between the Eagles and the Wauconda Bulldogs didn't end well, with the Eagles falling 31-14. The Eagles have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Although Lakes took the loss, they still got scores from Brett Beerbower and Mason Crowley.

Lakes' loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Wauconda, they pushed their record up to 9-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Lakes will square off against Kaneland at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Wauconda, they will challenge St. Patrick at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
