Volleyball Game Preview: Salem Quakers vs. Hubbard Eagles

The Salem Quakers will challenge the Hubbard Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Salem is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Salem lost 3-0 to Girard on Tuesday.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-16, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Hubbard came up short against West Branch on Tuesday and fell 3-1.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-12, 23-25, 25-16.

Salem will have to keep a close watch on Emma TEtrick and HaleigH Taylor, a pair of players who had a big impact on Hubbard's prior game. TeTrick had 20 digs and two aces, while Taylor had 15 digs. TeTrick is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Salem's loss dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Hubbard, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-8.

Salem suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Hubbard in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Quakers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
