Basketball Recap: Ethan East's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Hardin-Jefferson over O'connell

Hardin-Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 65-58 to the O'Connell Buccaneers.

Several Hawks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ethan East, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds. The dominant performance gave East a new career-high in points. Will Larson was another key player, putting up 23 points and six rebounds.

Even though they lost, Hardin-Jefferson smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Hardin-Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 8-13. As for O'Connell, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 22-5.
