Winona was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 21-20 heartbreaker at the hands of the Couch Indians. Even though they lost, the Wildcats' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 7.1 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Alexis Hagler stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went 3-for-5 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles. Erin Blanks was another key player, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with four RBI and one run.

Winona's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Couch, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Coming up, Winona is taking a road trip to take on Eminence at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Couch, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, an 18-1 loss against Bakersfield on the 16th.
