Leia West leads Birchwood Christian to victory over Cook Inlet Academy

Recap: Birchwood Christian Warriors vs. Cook Inlet Academy Eagles
The Birchwood Christian Warriors lost to the Cook Inlet Academy Eagles back in March of 2023, but the Birchwood Christian Warriors didn't allow the Cook Inlet Academy Eagles the same satisfaction on Saturday. Birchwood Christian walked away with a 38-27 win over the Eagles.
Leia West was a one-man wrecking crew for Birchwood Christian as she dropped a double-double on 16 points and 22 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points West has scored all season. Kaytee Reich was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Birchwood Christian's victory ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-7. As for Cook Inlet Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-12.
Birchwood Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against the Eagles/Lady Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cook Inlet Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on the Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on February 9th.
