After some red-hot offensive attacks in their last four game, Auburn Riverside finally came back down to earth on Saturday. They had to suffer through a rough 57-6 loss at the hands of Kennedy Catholic. Auburn Riverside was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-0.
Meanwhile, Auburn Mountainview beat Beamer 19-12 on Friday.
It was another big night for Elijah Baird, who rushed for 138 yards on only nine carries. Baird's longest rush was for an incredible 73 yards. Isaiah Wallis-caw got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
With Auburn Riverside's loss and Auburn Mountainview's win, both teams now sport identical 4-3 records.
Auburn Riverside came up short against Auburn Mountainview in their previous meeting back in October of 2022, falling 20-14.
