Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Whiteland). They put the hurt on the Greenwood Woodmen with a sharp 14-3 victory on Wednesday. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Woodmen recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Kayden Wilson made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched six innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. Wilson was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-5.

In other batting news, Whiteland got a massive performance out of Colton Shipp, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Blake Riddle, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.

Whiteland's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Greenwood, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.
