While Antioch didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-23), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Round Lake Panthers on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Sequoits in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won five in a row.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Antioch took both sets by at least 16 points. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-9.

Colin Fisher paced Antioch's offense, picking up seven kills. Fisher got some help from Ryan Jilly and his 17 assists. Jilly was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Antioch's win bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Round Lake, they are on a 31-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-22.

Antioch has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against North Chicago on the 24th. As for Round Lake, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Grant Community on the 24th.
