Volleyball Recap: Conway Comes Up Short

Conway came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Sparta Trojans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bears of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-15, 25-9.

Conway's offense was headlined by Madison Thompson and Adalee Letterman, who picked up four kills apiece. Letterman really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with seven. Thompson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Conway dropped their record down to 8-4 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Sparta, they moved to 2-8-2 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Conway will venture away from home to face off against Mansfield at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sparta, they will challenge Blue Eye at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
