Soccer Game Preview: Archbishop Hannan vs. E.D. White

The Archbishop Hannan Hawks and the E.D. White Cardinals will compete for holiday cheer at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Archbishop Hannan knows how to get goals on the board -- the team has finished with four goals or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully E.D. White likes a good challenge.

Archbishop Hannan is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Louisiana's top teams: Mandeville, who was ranked 14th at the time (Archbishop Hannan was ranked first). The Hawks' defense stepped up to hand the Skippers a 7-0 shutout last Tuesday. Archbishop Hannan's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three matchups.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when E.D. White duked it out with Willow on Tuesday. The Cardinals walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Lions. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but E.D. White were the better team in the second half.

Archbishop Hannan's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for E.D. White, the victory got them back to even at 4-4-2.

Archbishop Hannan came out on top in a nail-biter against E.D. White in their previous matchup back in February, sneaking past 5-4. Will the Hawks repeat their success, or do the Cardinals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
