Monument Valley typically has all the answers at home, but on Monday Kingman proved too difficult a challenge. They put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 15-3 win. Considering the Bulldogs have won 14 contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Kingman got a massive performance out of Destiny Kogianes, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Kally Hernandez, who went 3-for-5 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.
Kingman was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .485. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .345 or higher in five consecutive matches.
Kingman is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-13 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.8 runs over those games. As for Monument Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-7.
