Volleyball Recap: Asheboro Starts off Right with Win over Jordan-Matthews

Asheboro took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Jordan-Matthews Jets with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Blue Comets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The final score came out to 25-5, 25-12, 25-20.

Emma Kate Forester paced Asheboro's offense, picking up 11 kills. Forester got some help from Kailey Brown and her eight assists. Cora Little controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Asheboro will be playing at home against Wheatmore at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Jordan-Matthews, they will head out to take on Chatham Central at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
