Volleyball Recap: Gray Stone Day Knights vs. Union Academy Cardinals
The home team had come away the winner the last seven times Gray Stone Day and Union Academy had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Knights came up short against the Cardinals on Tuesday, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on September 9th.
The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-21, 25-8.
Union Academy found their leader in sophomore Lily Hammonds, who had 15 digs. Those 15 digs set a new season-high mark for Hammonds.
Gray Stone Day dropped their record down to 7-11 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Union Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-3.
