Basketball Recap: Newell Comes Up Short

Newell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Moorcroft Wolves and fell 73-9. The Irrigators lost against the Wolves in their previous head to head back in January of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 49-45 score last time.

With the win, Moorcroft broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Moorcroft beat Newell by a score of 73-9 on Thursday.
