Softball Recap: Buchanan Extends Home Winning Streak to Six

Buchanan won against Edison last Wednesday with nine runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Buchanan Bears came out on top against the Kingsburg Vikings by a score of 9-6. The Bears haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Harmony McMurry was excellent, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Bethany Alconcher, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Buchanan pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Kingsburg, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Buchanan will take on Mission College Prep at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Kingsburg, they will face off against Frontier at 2:00 p.m. on Monday.
