Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Lynnfield couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They lost 3-0 to the Bellingham Blackhawks on Wednesday. The Pioneers' loss signaled the end of their 13-game winning streak.

Lynnfield was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Bellingham work for it, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-15, 27-25.

Despite the loss, Lynnfield still got an impressive performance from Elliana Moretti, who had 11 digs and two aces. Moretti has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 13 times she's played.

Lynnfield's defeat dropped their record down to 21-3. As for Bellingham, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-2.
