Basketball Game Preview: Seneca Valley Screamin' Eagles vs. Linganore Lancers + How To Watch

The Seneca Valley Screamin' Eagles will take on the Linganore Lancers in a holiday battle at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Friday, Seneca Valley made easy work of Gaithersburg and carried off a 69-47 victory. The Screamin' Eagles haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Alex Rofayel and Tylei Young were among the main playmakers for Seneca Valley as the former went 10-for-17 en route to 20 points in addition to six boards and four steals and the latter shot 62% from the field on his way to 20 points and three steals. Young has also been stellar as far as field goal percentage is concerned: he's posted one of at least 46% every time he's hit the court this season.

Meanwhile, Linganore took care of business in their home opener on Friday. They walked away with a 59-49 victory over Walkersville.

Linganore's win came from a few key players Seneca Valley will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Taylor Rosario, who posted ten points and six steals. Another player making a difference was Brandon Rosario, who went 5-for-9 to rack up 10 points.

Seneca Valley now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Linganore, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
