Recap: Burke Bulldogs vs. Cross Trojans
This season hasn't been kind to The Burke Bulldogs, who are still winless after their tenth contest. They were outmatched by Cross at home and fell 53-0. While losing is never fun, Burke can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 243rd, while Cross is ranked 121st).
Cross got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Tyler Mungin out in front who threw for 141 yards and four touchdowns. Caden Ramsey was another key contributor, picking up 48 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Burke's defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 0-10. As for Cross, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-1.
Burke does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Cross will be playing at home against Hemingway at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
