Basketball Recap: Cristo Rey Wins Going Away Against San Diego Academy

San Diego Academy typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Cristo Rey proved too difficult a challenge. They enjoyed a cozy 61-47 win over the San Diego Academy Cavaliers. Cristo Rey didn't have much to brag about two games back, but this victory makes it their second in a row.

Several Cavaliers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Josue Flores, who posted eight points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Story Avitia, who put up eight points and 12 boards.

Cristo Rey's record now sits at 6-11. As for San Diego Academy, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 15-5.

Cristo Rey has already played their next match, a 36-35 loss against Health Sciences on the 13th. As for San Diego Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 48-16 defeat against The Cambridge School on the 12th.
