Basketball Recap: Alpena Takes a Loss

Alpena lost against Cadillac last Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Alpena Wildcats lost to the Cadillac Vikings at home by a 56-38 margin. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 252nd, while the Vikings are ranked 100th).

Alpena now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Cadillac, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Looking ahead, Alpena will take on Sault Area at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Cadillac, they will square off against McBain at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Cadillac has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
