Baseball Recap: Colton Comes Up Short

Colton lost against Dayton on Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wildcats might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 20-5 to the Bulldogs, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ryan Impson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Colton's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Dayton, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Colton will square off against rival Pomeroy at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Dayton is set to challenge their familiar foe DeSales at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
