Basketball Recap: Badger Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Badger was feeling good fresh off their 55-21 takedown of Newton Falls on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Braves were just a bucket shy of victory on Wednesday and fell 37-36 to the Brookfield Warriors. The Braves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

Badger lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Riley Thomas, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 15 rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted eight or more boards the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Brinley Rice, who posted 11 points in addition to seven rebounds and five steals.

Having lost for the first time this season, Badger fell to 2-1.

Coming up, Badger will head out on the road to square off against Poland Seminary at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Brookfield, they will be playing at home against McKinley at 6:00 p.m. on December 4.
