Softball Game Preview: Mounds View Mustangs vs. North Polars

The Mounds View Mustangs are taking a road trip to challenge the North Polars at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Mounds View has given up an average of 6.8 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Mounds View is headed into the match having just suffered their biggest loss since May 1st on Wednesday. They came up short against East Ridge, falling 16-4. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Raptors recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Meanwhile, North unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Park. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Polars couldn't push the score so high this time.

Mounds View's defeat dropped their record down to 3-17. As for North, their loss dropped their record down to 15-5.

Mounds View might still be hurting after the 15-0 defeat they got from North in their previous meeting back in May of 2023. Can the Mustangs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
