Volleyball Recap: Newcomerstown Comes Up Short

Newcomerstown lost against Conotton Valley back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Trojans came up short against the Rockets, falling 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-9, 25-19.

Maddie Kellish paced Newcomerstown's offense, picking up four kills. Kellish got some help from Maggie Collins and her 12 assists.

Newcomerstown dropped their record down to 8-11 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Conotton Valley, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Newcomerstown will welcome Malvern at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Conotton Valley, they will square off against Wood County Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
