Softball Recap: Stringer Beats Enterprise for Their Eighth Straight Victory

Stringer had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it eight on Tuesday. They never let the Enterprise Yellowjackets get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory. The Red Devils have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Yellowjackets, too.

Madilyn Graham made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 13 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, Kayleigh Douglas was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Natalie Aplin also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Stringer always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .636. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Enterprise only posted an OBP of .143.

Stringer's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-3-2. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games. As for Enterprise, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 10-7.

Stringer will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Yellowjackets: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
