Volleyball Recap: East Mecklenburg Picks Up Fifth Straight Win at Home

There's no place like home for East Mecklenburg, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. Everything went their way against the Kingdom Leadership Academy Chargers on Tuesday as they made off with a 3-0 win.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-6, 25-18.

Christopher Dougherty paced East Mecklenburg's offense, picking up 11 kills. Dougherty got some help from Shreyash Pilli and his 14 assists. Dougherty was also solid from the service line: he led the team with eight aces.

East Mecklenburg pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Kingdom Leadership Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

The Knights will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. As for Kingdom Leadership Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mooresville at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
