Soccer Recap: St. Petersburg Catholic Takes a Loss

After soaring to seven goals the game before, St. Petersburg Catholic was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the St. Petersburg Green Devils an easy 8-0 victory. While losing is never fun, the Barons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 326th, while the Green Devils are ranked 107th).

St. Petersburg Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7-1. As for St. Petersburg, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
