The Western Tech & Environmental Science Wolverines will face off against the Franklin Indians at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Western Tech & Environmental Science will be strutting in after a victory while Franklin will be coming in after a loss.
Western Tech & Environmental Science is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Kenwood 14-2 on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Wolverines in their matchups with the Bluebirds: they've now won four in a row.

Ella Durham made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits (and only one walk). Those eight strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, Juliahna Thomas was a standout: she fired off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 4-for-4. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Nicole Camacho, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4.
Western Tech & Environmental Science always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .528. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Franklin didn't have quite enough to beat Dundalk on Thursday and fell 8-6. The loss was the Indians' first of the season.
Miabella Teague made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Mia Cleveland, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Western Tech & Environmental Science's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Franklin, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.
Monday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Western Tech & Environmental Science hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .373. However, it's not like Franklin struggles in that department as they've averaged .430. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Western Tech & Environmental Science's way against Franklin in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Western Tech & Environmental Science made off with a 16-6 win.
