Basketball Recap: Marshall Comes Up Short

Marshall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were beaten by the Lufkin Panthers 70-28. The contest marked the Mavericks' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Marshall's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Lufkin, they pushed their record up to 24-2 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home.

Marshall will square off against Whitehouse at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Marshall is facing Whitehouse at the right time seeing as Whitehouse is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Lufkin, they will take on Jacksonville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
