Softball Recap: Rancho San Juan Trailblazers vs. King City Mustangs

Rancho San Juan had lost three straight at home, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 5-11 to make it four. They lost 14-4 to the King City Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-4 back in April.

Aysiah Lamb made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. Another player making a difference was Bella Garcia, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one RBI.

As for King City, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season. Considering they have won ten matches by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

On King City's side, Crystal Paramo was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Those five RBI gave Paramo a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Munoz, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and one RBI.

Rancho San Juan wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 15-1 victory against North Monterey County on the 9th. As for King City, they will welcome Alisal at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mustangs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 10.1 runs per game this season.
