Custer is a perfect 10-0 against Lead-Deadwood since September of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 5:00 p.m.

On Tuesday, Custer came up short against Hill City and fell 3-1. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-16, 22-25, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Lead-Deadwood hadn't done well against Douglas recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Golddiggers narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Patriots 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Golddiggers have posted since October 4th.

Lead-Deadwood was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-23, 19-25, 25-14, 17-15.

Lead-Deadwood is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-17 record this season. As for Custer, their loss dropped their record down to 24-12.

Custer came out on top in a nail-biter against Lead-Deadwood when the teams last played back in September, sneaking past 2-1. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Golddiggers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
