Volleyball Recap: Fort Scott Comes Up Short

Fort Scott was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Columbus Titans. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Titans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Fort Scott was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-23.

Fort Scott's loss dropped their record down to 3-23. As for Columbus, their win bumped their record up to 4-21-1.

Coincidentally, Fort Scott and Columbus will both be playing Girard the next time they take the court. The Titans will head out to face the Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Tigers will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
